Night of Oct 30/31

Phil Berczuk from Steer (UK & Mexico) worked on the implementation of operational, brand and information design enhancements for Mexico Citys Night Bus Service (Nochebus). Following his presentation, we hope to have a unique opportunity to see backstage in the streets and garages of Mexico City - fingers crossed that IIID gains all permissions needed for this outstanding night time experience!

Trip to METEPEC.

After a long night, we start later the morning and go to Metepec: The historic center of the town has remarkable traditions of vernacular architecture, characterized by the use of materials such as adobe and ashlar stone, as well as the abundance of balconies, portals, partitions, and ornamental elements made out of clay, wood, and iron.
The town of Metepec is widely recognized as an artisan village that produces a wide range of crafts and traditional handmade items made from clay and ceramic.

IIIDaward 2017 award ceremony and exhibition

The aim of IIID has always been to promote and expand information design knowledge and research.
In 2011, the International Institute for Information Design celebrated its 25th anniversary. The time was ripe to acknowledge the best in what information design has to offer by introducing the IIID Awards.
IIID was founded in 1986 to stimulate the development, recognition and good practice of information design in its broadest sense.
Be part of this year's award ceremony for the Mexican winner as well as an exhibition of the awarded submissions

Tea for Two (and more)

Tea for Two (T42) sessions, which enable five 10-minute head to head
encounters with other participants and speakers. Similar to the concept of speed dating or the "blackmarket for useful knowledge", participants can book time with others who registered for T42.
Participants should expect to leave with insights into their own subject area, a look beyond the usual boundaries of discipline, and new, unexpected alliances.

In between

we will have plenty of time to get acquainted with many interesting people, learn Mexican drinking habits and get familiar with Mexican magic kitchen.
